A look at tonight’s big games in Orange County boys basketball …
Villa Park at Canyon: Canyon is in first place in the Crestview League with a 5-0 league record. Villa Park is second at 4-1. Canyon beat Villa Park in overtime 64-59 on Jan. 18. The student sections will provide an outstanding sideshow.
Corona del Mar vs. Newport Harbor and Edison vs. Los Alamitos at Marina: The four-team Surf League finished the regular season with a four-way tie for first place. All four of those teams are 3-3 in league. To sort it out, they’ve scheduled additional games today. CdM-Newport is at 5:30 p.m. Edison-Los Alamitos is at 7 p.m.
Beckman at Northwood: Beckman is in first place in the Pacific Coast League with a 7-2 league record. Northwood is second at 6-3.
Bolsa Grande at La Quinta: La Quinta is 7-2 in the Garden Grove League and is tied for first place with Santiago (which plays 1-8 Los Amigos). Bolsa Grande is third at 6-3, one game ahead of Loara which plays 1-8 Rancho Alamitos.
St. Margaret’s at Sage Hill: They are tied for first place in the Academy League. Both are 6-1 in league.
