Man shot in Santa Ana, expected to survive

A man shot in the torso in Santa Ana was recovering in a hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 30.

The shooting was reported at 4:55 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd and Euclid Streets, according to Santa Ana police Sgt. Richard Weber. He said responding officers found a man inside a sedan suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso.

The victim, described as a man in his 20’s, was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Further details, including the identity of the victim or possible suspects were not immediately available.
