Two men were stabbed Monday evening at a Huntington Beach bar, with police arresting the suspect who had fled but was found on the beach, authorities said on Tuesday.
At 7:21 p.m. Monday, Huntington Beach police officers were called to The Cliffs, at 424 17th St., where the found a 68-year-old man with a stab wound to the hand and a 70-year-old man with one to his neck.
Both were taken to a hospital for treatment. The victim with the neck wound was in serious condition, police said.
Patrol officers and those in the air searched for the suspect, who was found near Tower 24.
Police later determined the suspect, Lamont Waters, 25, was also involved in an assault on a woman on the city beach near Goldenwest Street and Pacific Coast Highway. That victim was uninjured.
Waters was booked on suspicion of multiple felonies, including attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
