California Art Club’s 108th Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibition
Nearly 300 pristine landscapes, seascapes, figurative works and still life pay homage to the California Impressionist movement inspired by the pioneering artists who founded the California Art Club along the banks of the Arroyo Seco in 1909.

An exhibition of works by the legendary Hollywood photographer behind such iconic images as Marilyn Monroe snuggling up in bed; Dean Martin, Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra sharing a laugh; and a smiling John Lennon from the set of the film “How I Won the War.” The opening reception is 6 to 9 p.m. March 9.

Guo Pei: Couture Beyond

Protecting Mother Earth

A pair of Martian brothers accompanied by their six-legged blue dog run away in search of adventure in this whimsical 147-page fairy tale, handwritten and illustrated by the great 19th-century actress.

Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day
An open house that’s followed by a patriotic ceremony (at the nearby Amphitheater at Riverside National Cemetery). The community event is part of a nationwide effort to recognize the men and women who were not given a proper welcome home, as well as honor the sacrifices made by veterans and their families.
