A man who was seen hanging from the 22 Freeway overpass over Beach Boulevard in Garden Grove suffered what were described as moderate injuries when he fell into the roadway Tuesday, Nov. 27, the Garden Grove Fire Department said.
A California Highway Patrol officer spotted the man and blocked traffic lanes. Later, the man let go and fell, fire Capt. Thanh Nguyen said. The man was treated by paramedics and taken to a trauma center in stable condition, Nguyen said.
No motorists were involved.
There was no reason given why the man was hanging from the overpass.
