A masked man and woman made off with cigarettes and an unspecified amount of cash after robbing a convenience store in Stanton on Sunday, Sept. 30, officials said.
The theft happened at about 3:20 p.m. at the ABC Liquor store at 8502 Chapman Ave., said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Mike Tanabe. He said two suspects claimed to be armed and demanded cash and cigarettes from a store clerk.
Detailed descriptions of the man and woman were not immediately available from authorities, but Tanabe said they did not have a car. It was unclear whether witnesses saw a firearm during the incident.
No injuries were reported.
