Western’s dynamic duo of twins Caine and Cassius Savage committed Saturday to different colleges.
But the seniors were united in one way: they’re both headed to the FBS or Division I-A level.
Caine committed to Arizona State while Cassius picked San Diego State, an impressive feat for two of the standouts who helped the Pioneers capture their first CIF-SS football title last season.
“So blessed to have such outstanding, talented players but much better men off the field,” Western coach Dan Davidson wrote on Twitter.

Caine (5-11, 170) committed to Arizona State as an athlete while Cassius (5-11, 170) was recruited to San Diego State as a defensive back, Davidson said.
Last season as a wide receiver, Caine set Orange County single-season records for receptions (124), receiving yards (2,103) and touchdowns (32) to help the Pioneers win Division 11. He also had eight interceptions as a defensive back.

Cassius wasn’t far behind. As a wide out, he collected 59 receptions for 1,041 yards and 15 TDs as part of the record-setting trio with his brother and quarterback Anthony Munoz. Cassius added four interceptions at defensive back.
