UCLA quarterback Devon Modster announced his plans to transfer Friday via Twitter.
The former Tesoro High star, who entered the year as the only quarterback with game experience as a Bruin, came in third in a crowded quarterback battle behind grad transfer Wilton Speight and heralded freshman Dorian Thompson-Robinson.

The redshirt sophomore appeared in six total games, including two starts last year, and threw for 671 yards and four touchdowns on 51 of 79 passing. His only game action this season was a lone snap against Oklahoma when Dorian Thompson-Robinson’s helmet came off.
