Mater Dei is No. 1 in the combined Division 1 & 2 for CIF-Southern Section girls volleyball. The Monarchs are the only Orange County team at No. 1 in any of the nine divisions for CIF-SS.
Also in the top 15 for Divisions 1 & 2 are No. 9 San Juan Hills, No. 10 Dana Hills, No. 11 Aliso Niguel, No. 12 Santa Margarita and No. 13 Foothill.
Other county teams in their division’s top five: Brea Olinda (No. 4 in Division 3); Sunny Hills (No. 2 in Division 4), Crean Lutheran (No. 3 in Division 4), Saddleback Valley Christian (No. 4 in Division 4) and Ocean View (No. 2 in Division 7).
