Two varsity football games will be played Thursday at La Palma Park’s Glover Stadium in Anaheim: Esperanza vs. Katella at 4 p.m.; Costa Mesa vs. Loara at 7 p.m.
Loara and Savanna had Glover Stadium booked for Thursday and Friday nights, respectively. (Savanna plays host to La Jolla Country Day on Friday.) So Katella, with Esperanza’s agreement, opted to play Thursday afternoon at Glover instead of playing there on Saturday.
The games are nonleague games.
