Trump’s finger-pointing a disaster for House GOP: Letters

Prior to Tuesday’s midterm elections, pundits were predicting a blue wave crashing down on Capitol Hill. For House Democrats who rode the wave safely to shore, it’s time to get busy doing the people’s work.

For the Republicans who were swept away by the wave’s undertow, you had a chance to reject the divisive, racially charged, anti-immigration messages coming from the White House, but you didn’t.The president’s campaign finger-pointing may have done wonders for his ego, but it clearly was a disaster for the House GOP.

No complaints from Dems

Remember after the Democrats lost the presidential election, so many Democrats were running around denying the results and saying, “He is not my president.”

Well, you don’t see any Republicans running around denying the results and saying that a particular senator or representative is not their senator or representative.

What you hear is people vocalizing their disappointment, but saying that they hope the two sides can work together for the greater good.

Well, when the election results are in their favor, the Democrats are the first to say that system obviously works.

Problem is Mexico and Honduras are a mess

It’s about time everyone looks at the real problem regarding the immigrant caravan and illegal immigration. Simply put, Mexico and most of the Central American countries are a mess!Honduras has no jobs, which leads to gang violence, crime and poverty. So Hondurans look to the United States for help, but in the wrong way.

If I were the president of that country I’d certainly seek help from the U.S. in the form of economic development, police enforcement and other ways to make that country a place where its citizens could call home.

Military troops at border

As a military veteran who was deployed to face a secret Russian threat to Alaska during the Cold War, my assessment and prediction of the deployment of 15,000 border troops is that never in the history of U.S. military actions by this great nation of ours will so many troops do so little for so long.
